Practically impossible to get a taxi in downtown Chicago this evening. And then when we did, just sat in traffic. I hate that!

4 Corners

12/7/10 - Day 354
O'Hare Airport, holiday decorations, equality --> during the holiday season, joy should be experienced across all 4 corners of the world.  I used the SymmetriCam to capture a 4-way image expressing holiday cheer, using the airport location to represent the global nature of the message.

Shot for today's Daily Shoot assignment #387: "Illustrate the word equality today with a photograph that shows your favorite interpretation."

While at dinner tonight, I first read today's Daily Shoot assignment #382: "Make a photo today that features a hand in a creative way."  SymmetriCam to the rescue!

Suspension

11/30/10 - Day 347
I don't know if this bridge in Boston, designed by Calatrava, follows the Golden Ratio (Daily Shoot #380), but it is one beautiful piece of architecture and engineering.  Taken this evening on the way to Logan Airport for my flight back to Chicago.

Sears Radials

Took a few shots today for Daily Shoot assignment #358: "Radiating lines pulls the viewer directly to a center of interest. Take advantage of this in a photo you create today." This one of Sears Tower was the most dramatic.

Urbanscape

11/4/10 - Day 321
Driving into San Francisco this evening, I was stuck in traffic so pulled out the trusty SymmetriCam on my cell phone to capture an image for P365.  It wasn't until I got back to my hotel and put it on the computer that I realized the brightness of the tail lights would qualify for today's Daily Shoot #354: "Today, make a photo that emphasizes or even exaggerates brightness in a scene."

As an aside, the high-rise building that dominates the skyline in 4 locations is a residential project for which my firm managed the development from the ground up (One Rincon Hill).
